Nice to see a forum that focuses on older kits! My background is primarily automotive- I went to trade school in 75 to do bodywork and painting. since then, I've spent 35 years working in Mom and Pop shops, prototype shops painting OEM concept and show cars, and for the last 8 years, as a metal fabricator in a high end shop making parts for Pebble Beach bound Classics. As far as modeling, I've been building since 63. Unlike a lot of guys, I never stopped- even the 5 years I was in Uncle Sam's employ, I managed to build some military models. I build mainly 1/24 and 1/25 scale cars, 1/12 scale motorcycles, and occasionally military vehicles and planes for variety. Unfortunately, I've become better at buying than building the last few years- I didn't finish a single kit last year. Hopefully,, this year will be more productive!

Welcome to the group Tom, It is a pleasure to have you with us. You may not finish many in a year, but when you do they sure are sharp!!! Set back, relax and let the building juices flow we will be looking for your next project!!
