Man this thing was a lot of parts hunting , started as one of those Japanese Hasegawa Kit's , body and bumpers was all that was used. Everything else was bought or bashed out of other kits. Built like a promo.

Excellent! Your detailing skills really show up on the dash. Makes me wish I could turn on the radio.

Oh my!!! I have a special place in my heart for the big '66 Pontiacs and this one sure does look good!! A good choice of colour for the car and the detailing is excellent!!!! It would be nice to read the story behind this build and see some photos of what it took to bring it back to life. What is really special about this is the fact that it was a rescue car and as such, it does deserve to have it's story told. More pictures and information, please! It's reading and seeing stuff like this that inspires others and encourages them.

stated as a Hasegawa Kit and for all purposes only used the body and glass , the interior is from an original AMT 66 Bonneville kit I found on E Bay with the dash. There was no bucket seats and was about to order them from Modelhaus , had a tub from a 70 Bonni and while researching pictures of the 1:1 car I noticed the bench seats I had for the 70 was almost identical to those of a 66. Well that made my mind up to do a 66 Bonneville convertible with bench seat s rather than the traditional bucket seat car. Being it wasn't an original AMT kit I wanted something unique. Used a chassie from a 70 Wildcat but that could change before everything is complete and as with all my convertible conversions the sun visors are scratch made to suit me. But still waiting on the correct convertible boot from Modelhaus before final completion and assembly and detailing is done. Car is setting in a mach up for picture purposes and is being built as a curd side or promo style public.fotki.com/59-Desoto/www.facebook.com/groups/1393559870943669/1394246434208346/?comment_id=1394721274160862¬if_t=like
