One of only two known to exist. Sadly, it never would get its day on the podium. Between new management at the top of Ford – company president Lee Iacocca – and fresh NASCAR regulations designed to hamper the aero cars, the duo of prototype Torino King Cobras were sold and promptly forgotten about. That is until one of the rare cars was discovered tucked away in a South Carolina field (the second found its end in a scrap yard).autos.yahoo.com/news/world-only-ford-torino-prototype-display-hilton-head-120051339.html

I've looked at this one several times wondering if I could build that front end. I finally decided I couldn't. Too bad a resin caster hasn't gotten on to this one.

Was thinking it could be done using a 69 Talladaga kit as a donor , preferably a glue bomb. Take a bit of work but think some kind of a car with a similar slopping nose would be a good starting point. I might give it a try later down the road.
