I was raised in the auto industry , my dad was a jet aircraft mechanic in the late 40ise and into the early 60ies , after he left the service he worked as a auto mechanic till his death in 2008. I was by his side around cars as far back as I can remember as a child. After following up on what I knew in trade school I interned the work field and by age 18 wasn't happy what I was doing. I was already dibbling around in body work and with the held of an older friend learned enough to get my feet wet in that field. Over the years I took each field of autos to the next level till I was at the top. I got to where wasn't any thing I couldn't do with a car or truck and do it well. In my 60 years been on the line in the office and twice in business and work in the insurance industry. Finally there wasn't anywhere else to go or achieve. Models came into play around age 4 and was the one hobby I never got tried of and never reached the level I wanted. So maybe these last few years I have left will let me get somewhere close. After 40 years of marriage - two kids - five grand kids and one great grandson here I am and still counting.

Great life you have had my friend!! All that knowledge runs over into the modeling world for extra details and know-how of what a scale model should look like.
