This is a very nice restoration. I am just going thru your forum and I am happy to see some of the threads, such as this restoration thread. You have included some interesting topics that a lot of forums ignore.

That sure does look sweet!! I'm working on trying to revive a '58 hardtop just like this one and I am enjoying each step of what has been a fairly long process that includes replacing missing sections of body panels that were broken out over the decades when heavily glued on parts were "removed" ( it looked like they used blasting powder to do the job..*sighs* )for one of the numerous repaints that the car endured. Mine was heavily customized and working past the glue damage has been a labour of love. When it is done, I will be happy if it looks even half as good as yours does in these photos. It will be a factory stock build but because the car was so rough to begin with, I may yet be taking some liberties with trying to update some features of it by combining the AMT '57 Fairlane with this old promo style, simplistic kit. I am in no hurry with this one and it's been over a year to get it to where it is right now and there is still a long, long ways to go even if I keep it at a simple restoration. By the way, I have a friend who drives a '58 four door sedan Fairlane 500 daily in the summer that is powder blue and white - just like your build. VERY nice job, Gene.
